You can get it on courtesyparts.com. Their part number is 21302MS for the 5th gens. If you do that you might as well buy some other stuff to make shipping worthwhile, or check your local dealer. You won't find it on aftermarket sites. You might as well buy the oil cooler seal and do that too, unless you are already planning on doing them together.
Definitely throw some paint on it. I recommend VHT Engine Enamel. It is high temperature paint. I believe it is a ceramic based paint and claims chemical resistance when cured. I used it on my oil pan and it has held up nicely. You can likely find it at AutoZone for roughly $8, you won't even need a full can for two coats.
I’d just leave the factory paint on it but scuff it with green Scotch-Brite or light sandpaper, wipe with rubbing alcohol, tape the ends off, then paint soon after. As far as painting just hang it with wire and follow the directions on the can, except don't bake it. It will bake on the car. I would let it dry at least a few days, the longer the better in my opinion.
