power steering pump leak.

seams as if my power steering pump is leaking behind the pulley. is it possible to find seals for it or do I need to buy a new pump ?

maybe it could be the lines.

For my maxima it was leaking quick and by the end of the day i have to put more. I checked both lines and there was the problem. i just tighten the one line and kinda bend it by accident and from that day till now it has not leaked.

^^this^^
It's the line that runs from the strut tower and down the firewall. Pull back the insulation and look for fluid. That line tends to split and leak. It's easy to check before going after the pump.

I've not heard of many 5th gen pumps failing. If it's that someone else will have to answer.

and since the bottom of the hose is at the ps pump that's where it will leak down and appear to come from. when my hose went a local shop told me the pump was bad so i investigated more and found it was definitely the hose

ill have to take a better look. so far I changed the feed hose though. I'm actually seeing fluid on the power steering belt so I was assuming it was leaking behind the pulley. Pump works fine though....
