Opion on 5 gen
Looking to get one but I heard the 3.0 is the way to go .. I been reading about the 3.5 burning oil so I'm going to stay with a 2000 or 2001 .. Is there anything out there were they have any other problems ? Thanks for any info

It doesn't really matter what year motor or even type of used car you buy. If the previous owner(s) haven't taken care of it or they've beat it into the ground. Then no matter what the vehicle is you'll have problems. There's no right answer to the which one is better 3.0 vs. 3.5. It's all about finding the right one for you that has been treated right.

Dude, it's truly pick your pain. 5th gens had problems with the iac messing up the ecu and bad coils. 5.5 gens have issues with burning oil and the pre catalytic converters. Both are super reliable other than that! I've had both, and the ride of the 3.0 was more smooth, but the power of the 3.5 is very noticeable. There is no issues merging with traffic in a 3.5. I would ultimately go best available condition, but lean towards the 3.5. There is no substitute for horsepower! Also, if it's a 3.5, it's at least 1-3 years younger...
