Aftermarket Radios!!!
Has anyone on the thread have ever changed out the radio in a TE 03 maxima? Navigation is in this car along with the heating unit built into the navigation unit. I would like to have the wiring description and how did you get you heat and ac to work after removing this unit. I bought a separate ac/heat control but no harnesses fit.

The wiring diagrams of the navigation and non-navigation cars are in the Nissan FSM. Various people have tried to take out the navigation stuff and convert to the non-navigation system. I do not recall anyone saying that they did it successfully.
I'm pretty sure the radio connectors are the same between the 2 systems, it is the connection for the heater/air controls that requires work.
One thing that is fairly obvious when you look at the wiring diagrams is that the connectors have the wires re-arranged in them. While the physical connectors are the same, Nissan switched around which signal is on which pin number. You need to swap the wires in the connectors. There is one point I can't find the answer to and that involves the rear window defroster - namely, where are the wires in the navigation system.
This is what I know:
There are 9 wires that would need to be swapped for the non-navi climate controls to work. 5 of them are all ready in the connector, just in different locations.
For these 5 wires the colors are the same:

pages 30 to 33 for the non navigation system
pages 34 to 38 for the navigation system
