Oil smells like fuel
#41
Here's my advice. Get the proper plugs and forget about it. If not, you'll suspect them every time there's any other issue with the car. The time you save later will be well worth it.
There'll be plenty of time to learn all about spark plugs later if you want to.

Had a P0325 a while back and finding that this code only flshes 1 time to tell you the detonation sensor is bad. Once it's cleared it doesn't come back.
Since i'm already there I tested it nothing.
Apparently it's supposed to be 500-620 Kilo ohmsdead
could this cause oil to smell like fuel?

That's got nothing to do with it. The temp inside the cylinder of any car will be well over that temp.

I'm convinced now that this is a fuel injector issue.
I took some fuel line and plugged it off and stuck syringe full of carb cleaner through the plug and jumped the injector.
One injector is stuck open and doesn't even need a jump to push the cleaner through it.
The other injectors spray a line of cleaner out from it.
So this has got to be the fuel in oil smell.

OK apparently when this P0325 occurs the car goes into fail safe mode?
While in fail safe mode does this car run in simultaneous multi-port injection releasing fuel to all cylinders tice per engine cycle instead of Sequential multi-port fuel injection releasing the fuel to each individual cylinder corresponding to the firing order?

Thanks all for the input!
OK so since this issue I've pulled the intake LIM + UIM replaced KS + all injectors with FIJ0020 + Fuel filter(in tank) + all spark plugs NGK - DP. Re sealed entire intake + new vacuum lines + PCV.
Not smelling the fuel in exhaust anymore but have yet to change the oil. Could've been a dysfunctional injector?
Think I solved the issue with new injectors. Any links to moding the LIM for custom injectors + FPR + turbo ?
I think you could just pull the plugs after turning off the engine then check them for raw fuel or a wet appearance. This should tell ya which ones are bad.
