75mm throttle body?

OK, I have been looking at the 75mm throttle body by nwp. My question is, is it worth it? What kind of power can I expect with the mods I have. The only maxima dyno they have is with a stock maxima or a gutted intake. My max isn't stock but I didn't gut the intake.
My birthday is coming up and I'm wanting to get more power. Just don't know if it's worth $350 if I'm only going to get 8hp on the last part of the top end.

Any inside would be greatly appreciated. Tired of my girlfriend kicking my butt in the 8th unless I have an absolutely perfect launch

Yes it’s worth it, all the info is on the website, and there are a few threads on here if you search.

As with anything, mods come into synergy when done right. Also keep in mind, the 2 FWD VQ35 dynos are done with different intake manifolds.

My advice would be to do a few more supporting (breathing) mods. Headers would be a good choice. Put that 355 towards that.

Ok then maybe consider getting that VAFC and a 4" intake prior to said TB.

If I do the tb I will be installing my vafc2 at the same time.(just need to get another o2 bung welded in and getl a wideband 02) just got to get the funds for the 02 sensor. Hoping I can get the tb for my birthday. Just didn't want to get something that doesn't really do much

4 inch intake? Will have to look into that

My girlfriend loves going to the track. She has a modded 07 Pontiac Grand prix gxp with intake, exhaust, and Diablo tuner. Her car has a perfect launch every time. Her computer is awesome for that( virtually no wheel spin). So most of the time she beats me. When I get a good launch I do out run her but im always playing carch up. Just want every bit of help I can to make up for my poor launching. Lol

I think in order to take full advantage of the TB, and since it is kinda pricey, it would be wise to go ***** deep and get a 4” intake and some 560cc injectors since you already have a WB and AFC.

Total of the 4” intake and 560’s will be around the price of TB.

Just my opinion of course.

No your throttle isn't drive by wire. It's done by a cable

Damn you really think with an all motor build I would need that big of an injector

yeah if ur gonna do tb upgrade, u best match it with a massive intake setup geared to match the TB. they will both compliment each other more as a pair.

Nitrous would be a quick and easy way to beat the Pontiac. I'm thinking of going that route but I need to replace my clutch first.

Yup, all the usual suspects… standard accessories. Filter, V-stack, clamps, couplers, AFC, WB, injectors.

Supporting mods help, gutted IM, NWP spacers, headers, TP, 3” exhaust.

That grand prix has the 5.3 ls4, its one of the HARDEST cars to launch. And i personally know this! And than you said 'virtually no wheel spin'. In a perfect world.

It sounds like it has traction control. Of course...I know nothing about GM except I hate working on those piles.

I drive that car on a normal basis. All you do is mash the pedal to the floor and it goes. The traction control is also tunable via her Diablo tuner. It's darn near perfect for launching. Though if you turn the traction control off I destroyed her on the take off.
Next month we're getting ready to do an LS6 intake swap on the car. New valves and 1.8 roller rockers. I unfortunately won't be able to touch her after that

Aw alright, my cuz had a 07 Monte SS (same motor) and my mothers friend had a 2008 impala ss also same motor. But their's wasnt tuned like your girl's. That car required ALOT of patience with the pedal when your launching, but its capable of 5.6 seconds to 60 bone stock! Thats a nice color too.

The grand prix has much wider front tires, forged rims , and different suspension than the others.
