G35 Sedan Muffler + g35 coupe resonator = WIN!
Even though I am generally done with the org this is too good not to share. I am always about progress and education for our community and here is some:
I have had a g35 muffler installed before but didn't have astonishing results like this time. Yes I got a more pleasing quiet ride but this is something else.
When I get to a computer I will re edit with more photos.
My ultimate goal was to always maintain the illusion of being stock and on my last at bat I was missing a piece of the puzzle. The resonator was it.
Every vq35de with a modified exhaust will have the drone from 2100-2600 rpm. Its just the science of the motor unless you have figured out the right combination with after market components.
With this setup I have returned to a stock catback volume but without any drone what so ever. Im talking 100% stock.
The only minor gripe is the slight rasp from the back [not even a rasp just the sound of too much air flow being restricted a wooshing whistle and I've went over the exhaust no leaks. Just a loud flex section about to fail soon]. Keep in mind I am using obx headers and a test pipe.
Anyways for those of you looking to achieve that z/g sound the resonator is the key. NOT the muffler. Regardless of what the rest of the internet says.
Some are wondering why did I even bother going away from the stock catback? Simple because it strangles the 3.5 something awful. I have went from stock, to 2.5, to 3, back to stock and now this [2.5"] on the same stock ecu and pre catback setup. I will be going back to 3 soon but thoroughly enjoying this setup in the meantime.
Yes this is drone free unlike cattman 2.5" or any modified version of any cattman or any other catback.
This is all I have on my tablet.
Enjoy.

That's what I've always read. If they want to keep the sound, but make it louder, then they just cut off the muffler.
Their forums are filled with idiots, though (rims and injen intake make their car modded LOL).

I had another muffler in mind but I had a reason to all of suddenly get this knocked out today. All I had was the g sedan and a fart can muffler lying around.
