Whats up, a few backs I sold the max for a 1999 TL! I always loved that body style of the TL but I never been a honda fan. The TL is faster, much smoother, and it draws more attention than my Max. But I miss my Max dearly!!!!!! The VQ!!!!! So everyone, I'm in the market for another 5th gen Max. But don't get it twisted, My TL isn't going anywhere, that's my baby, but in a couple weeks I'm buying another Max! I going to look at one 2mor for $1000, 2000 a little rust but no check engine light. Should I jump back into the Nissan world? I want to!!

These cars are getting up there in age. A $1000 car is definitely going to need some TLC.

Those TLs love grenading transmissions.

LOL! I sold and parted my Maxima exactly a year ago and bought a TL because I couldn't a 5th gen in decent shape. I finally found one thats mint and about to resell the TL to buy this Maxima. Funny I see this thread after not being on this site for awhile

That's true to a certain extent, the 4 speeds in the 1999 Tl was tons better than the 5 speeds in the 2000 and newer.
