Not sure where to post but I'd thought I'd share. The guy at the auto parts store brought up another good use for Seafoam. If you have a gas lawn mower or another machine that runs on gas add some Seafoam to your gas container. I have a 5-gallon container and added a couple of ounces of Seafoam to it. I didn't really notice a difference b/c my lawn mower is brand new... but if you have trouble starting your mower or it runs like crap give it a try.

i use 100, 103, or even 110 octane, cheaper and better then additives to me.

LMFAO i just have a regular push mower but its safe to put high octanes in it.. wont do any harm...

Filling up lawn mower with high octane FTL... just filled up our 5 gallon gas container today with 87 and it cost $21

Why is this bad ive done this and i had my mower for 9 years.. and im not filling it up with high octane i am just adding some to the gas so its basicly boosting the octane and cleaning... better then any additive.

Higher octane fuel doesn't necessarily translate to better cleaning. But what you could be doing by using high octane fuel in a small engine is contributing to air pollution. Higher octane fuel burns slower than lower octane fuel does; therefore, combustion of the fuel charge might not be totally complete before the exhaust valve opens and the unburned fuel is pushed out into the atmosphere. Lawn mowers don't have knock sensors and other electronics like cars do to adjust timing to match the fuel. Every small engine manufacturer I have seen recommends 87 octane for use in their engines.
