LED License plate lights

Today I got my LED boards in. Found them on Ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/L-105...spagenameZWDVW So I put them in today and was very pleasantly surprised. They fit inside the housing perfectly with no modifications or gluing. All I had to do was open the assembly, lay in the light (had 2 layers of double-sided tape attatched to the back of the board) re-assemble and re-install. They came out really nice.

Sorry for the blurry pics:

These will also fit all other Nissan vehicles that use this housing, I justinstalled them on my wife's Sentra too

Also note that I ordered 2 kits, and one had a dome bulb adapter that fit the Maxima dome light, and the other one did not, it was slightly longer by .25"

Looks good, but wouldn't the 194's be enough light?..

I went through a lot of 194s that didn't even produce enough light to evenly light the whole plate, and not to mention a lot of the multiple led ones didn't fit in the lens. Saw these, thought I'd give it a try. Yes... they are very bright, but they look great in person. I ordered some larger boards for the dome lights, door courtesy lights, and the map lights. All various sizes, I'll take photos for anyone interested. I just wanted to let anyone interested in them know that these will work, and how easy it was to install.

nice color... are they that bright in real life? IMO.. autolumination.com and v-leds.com make bulbs that are bright enough for me.. i'm switching over to v-leds cause they're slightly whiter

I have v-leds.com bulbs in the front markers and they are the same color as the plate lights, look like 4300k, just a little more blue. They look really bright because of the camera, they cast the same light as the original bulb, just with a higher intensity. I tried them in the courtesy lights and they were super bright there, probably due to the angle, and in the map lights where they did not perform so well, so I'm going to try a bigger board. I'll let you guys know how it comes out.

bought from Hong Kong Hong Kong, had no issues.
in fact when one bulb out of the 10 i ordered for 8 dollars didnt work i wasnt too upset but i wrote to them and they sent me a replacement.
Also, i have the leds style 194 and the dome light(dont remember the number). License plats lights i like, but they dont even compare to the ones in this thread. The dome light sucks

i have 194 led's that i got 3bspec ( operatic, who has a GD for HID here in org) which i got free when i ordered some hid's they gave it to me for free cus im a returning customer. to be honest those light install very easily and looks like the car came stock with them and way way brighter than lexus ones and even lights up under my bumper.

anyway looks great i wish i can post pics of my car.

I've got them on order now, so when I do get them I will post pics and results. I am assuming that I will have to silicone them in place. I measured based on the pictures on the ebay page, and measured against the lenses and the available area underneath them. For the dome I ordered the 48 SMD style board. The 6 leds lit up the interior from the map light well, but not perfect, so I ordered the 24 SMD board, and the 12 for the courtesy lights. I tried the 6 led in the courtesy lights and there was 200% more light on the ground than the stock filament bulb, but I think it will look better from behind the lens with twice as many lights, plus it will be much brighter.

For hi-tek22

They will work in the map light and the dome as well because they come with all the adapters, just beware, the 2 packages I got had 2 different sized adapters for the dome bulb.

Yea I love the "Lexus look" license plate lights. I went to a local Lexus dealer and found out that they are actually cold cathode lamps on the LS460. It was $74** and some change. But I notice on the Lexus they have a whitish blue tint say like 8k headlights.

I'm work in state law enforcement? I hope you don't do their typing for them.
But I know what you mean by that... you can break the same laws as any normal citizen but get away with it...

But the lights are bright and illuminate your plate nicely!

I got the same ones, but I got them VLeds. They tend to be higher quality IMO. Bad experience w/ cheap china LEDs, keep going out!
