1st "05 Maxima that has a 07 Hood & 07 Front Bumper"

Well, I finally purchased an 07 Maxima Hood off eBay for $100.00 and this was after 3 months of searching. Buying a Brand new Hood was an option as well but I wanted to see how the hood would collaborate with the 05 Headlights first. An.... the results are awesome because it fits with perfect
with a slight overlay which looks fine with me because that what where doing to the headlights any ways with the Blue Bat stuff. So, below are a few pics of my 2005 Maxima with an 07 Maxima Hood & 07 Maxima Front Bumper.

Looking tiiight. As far as exterior mods, switching the 6th gen front bumper cover to the 6.5 has to be one of my favorite. Wished I had the money to do it.

Why are 07 Front Bumpers all over ebay, OEM wheels I understand but, an 07-08 Maxima does not have that many after market bumper options

I'm sure it has to do with the level of car accidents, auction, and several other reasons a person or salvage yard wants to sale them. I counted 8 of them on eBay yesterday in really good condition if any one is interested. Also, a friend of mine hits up car auction all the time an recently purchased a 2005 Maxima for $2000.00 that was bang up bad. He strip the crap out of it an made several thousand dollars more then what he paid for it.

Yes! The hood opens & closes with-out any modification needed.
Everything fits exact, including the hood insulation and actuator
to keep the hood adjar. The hood does over-lay the headlights just bit, but with a very tasteful & cool appearance like Blue Bat vinyl eyelids.
The over-lay goes with the pattern of the light, so it looks completely
normal.

I didn't care for the 2004-2006 O.E.M Front Bumper either.
So, that's why I took the initiative in designing my own front
bumper style by utilizing the 05 bumper. It took me three days
to make the bumper below with sheet metal, fiberglass and a top
grade body filler. My front grille was replaced with a Cadillac CTS
grille instead of the O.E.M style. I know they make aftermarket grilles
for 2004-2006 maxima but I wanted something unique and one of a kind for the maxima.

the silver hood doesnt really look that bad, i actually like it.

i need to get a hood anyway to finish my conversion; i should get one and paint it the 06 TL anthracite color! it would compliment my onyx max!

Looks good, makes me kind of angry though as I just had front bumper and hood redone do to minor parking bs. Would have just replaced them if i new it lined up like that... I actually really like the overlay of hood on headlight makes it look aggressive. Is it me or the bend in the hood and the fender (look at side angle shot) doesn't match or does it just need to be adjusted/aligned better. Still hatin', but it all jealousy/frustration.

I like that, a person that observes the details here & there.
The hood lines up perfect, what your noticing is the hood actuators
in the engine bay not adjusted properly before I took the pics.
I'll try to take some really good detailed shots tommorrow and there's
no bent fender or hood. Just some minor dings in the hood that are
easy to take care of.

what kind of grill do you have installed? I thinking of going with the 07 bumper but I'm afraid of the SS grill not matching up. know what I mean?

also, what are you searching the bumpers under on ebay? I was only able to come up with two bumper listings

Besides the loss of the foglight function, would the headlight assemblies from the 07+ fit into the 04's ? I'd rather have more output thru the lens than with the one on my car, anyone know ???????

weekend. An, there will definitely be pics for you guys when that's all put
together. OH! I also have Piaa Halo fogs for the front bumper, just haven't
install them yet.

I mean really quick because later that night there was only one left. I have two 07 Front bumpers if any one is interested in purchasing one. Of course you will have to sand it down, repaint and clear it to your liking. Keep checking eBay for the 07 Front Bumpers there always pop-up under Nissan Bumpers, Maxima Bumpers, etc.... OH! One last note, 2004-2006 grilles will not fit a 07 Bumper and viceversa.

The gap between the Headlight an the front bumper is about 5/16 to 3/8 of an inch apart but can be adjusted for a snug fit.

Below are a few pics of the minor headlight to bumper gap. Also note that the pics below show how the 05 hood looks unmodified on top of the 07 Front bumper.

Its prob more me cause after I had my front end redone I am noticing the hood gab between headlights and hood is off. If you see my sig you can see it ever so slightly... I can be a lil **** about my rides! and yes still hating cause I was offered a full 07 front bumper with fogs and grill etc for $225... and b4 I get PM'd that has been sold already. I would have only needed to buy the 07 hood.

Dude! I understand your situation completely because the fine details are just as important as the larger ones. If your interested in a 07 Front Bumper, I have one that is in great shape but will need to be sanded down and repainted. Price is only $80.00.

I guess...... thank you for the comment bro and big azz rims in my opinion would be wheels where you couldn't drop your ride with great performance mods. Trust me! There's still plenty of space up in those wheel wells of my ride. Can't be driving around on donuts, You Know! Anyways, I sold the 07 Front Bumper that I had listed for $80.00. But I have another one that I'm selling for $100.00 because it's in much better shape and I'm covering half the shipping cost.

Samtk85! That's great news man can't wait to to view the new appearance.
