08 Max front grille $$$ WTF

So I have been looking around at front grills and I had to vent for a moment. I have seen some nice looking grilles here and there. I am looking more twords fiberglass or mesh cause billet just dosent go well when your not sitting on 20's and well I listen to country and rock.... ANY WAYS... My gripe is with the fact that a decent or off the ordinary grille runs the same price as i dont know A NEW EXHAUST for my car..... WTF are the people selling these thinking you EFFING scamers...... Hmmmm grille for my car for $300 or new i dont know BRAND NEW Y pipe... sorry I was just disgusted on the rip off of these things......I havent fiberglassed in YEARS but I may give it a try if I want to look a little different in the front end then everyone else..... ok I calm...wooooooooo...... Input anyone???? other then I was whining like a oh what do they call those.... umm a lil bee@tch LOL

Yeah, grilles aren't going to be the cheapest things period. But, it is cheaper than getting an exhaust set up (y, b-pipe, mufflers, etc.) Here are a couple of suggestions for you:

This might be a little bit more expensive but it's nothing compared to a t-rex grille:

Finally, if you want to customize your stock grille and make it mesh. Here's where you can get some quality mesh:

you get what you pay for. I purchased a "cheaper" ebay mesh grill for my 06 max and ended up getting the c-mod mesh grill. It was worth the extra $$$ b/c it was better contructed and had the lower tabs that help keep the grill on the bumper. my 2 cents.

LMAO! I just got my 04 6-speed and I was thinking the same exact this when I was looking at grills on ebay. I hate the way people over price things that shouldn't be expensive like grills, spoilers, floor mats, etc... I have decided I'm just going to mod the stock grill to make it look however I want and know its going to fit the way it should. Takes a little more creativity and work but it should be worth it.

Speaking of which.. Does anyone have a write-up or general knowledge on how to modify the stock grille? I have never done anything like this before but I would like to strip the chrome finish off, cut out the egg crate on both sides, and replace that with mesh.. Then a nice coat of plastidip and Ill be done.
