vacuum leaks
Hello All,
I went out for a 10 minute ride to the market and my car stalled right in front of the market. I tried to restart but it didn't start up. A strong crank but wouldn't turn over. I went food shopping anyway and came back 25 minutes later and it cranked right up and was able to get home with no problem. I used scanner but it reads no codes so I am thinking vacuum leaks somewhere.
How to safely check for vacuum leaks on 2004 maxima?

You're welcome. It's very easy to do if you have a multimeter. The specs and procedure are in the FSM that you're seeing in my signature.

Another possibility could be a bad wire or failing fuel pump. When it cranked with no start did you happen to notice weather or not you could hear the pump prime with the ignition on acc.?

Also, not sure if this is relevant to the 6th gen, but in my 4th gen my car stalled while driving 50mph. Wouldn't restart either until the next day. Turned out to be a bad fuel pressure regulator.
I've had a bad ECTS shut the car off too while driving a few years back. Wouldn't start for about 15 minutes...
