Codes 1148, 1031, 1148P 1031P

Just pulled the above 4 codes out of my 05 maxima. Car is running fine but has check engine light on. I could not find much on these codes on here. Has anyone had these on their Maxima's?

Both of the codes are for the air fuel ratio sensor 1 on bank 1 (Firewall side) of the engine.

see page 428 for P1031

another note I was just made aware of by my wife is that the car was almost out of gas, so could that trigger these codes?

What you need is an oxygen sensor that Nissan has decided to call the A/F Ratio sensor.
It is located in the exhaust pipe where it bolts onto the exhaust manifold. I doubt that you can see it when looking under the hood, You have to be under the car to see and/or replace it.

And no, the amount of gas in the tank has nothing to do with the codes happening.

this one seems almost impossible to get to, the heat shield blocks the bottom of it from getting a wrench on it. got any ideas on best way to get it removed...dreading thought of going to dealership with it....
