Old timers: What does your car look like now?
For those of you that have been on the 6th Gen forum a long time, what does your ride look like now? My once pretty car has endured the ravages of southern California sun and the paint has taken a terrible beating . Also, the front RLM fiberglass bumper is scraped badly on the bottom. I also never installed the drivers side vented fender, and that bit sits in the garage patiently waiting to be polished and installed. The car needs some maintenance as well and some things fixed like the left side HID ballast and refitting the trunk liner. I put my bronze rims back on in favor of the nice looking but very heavy 20" black with red stripe rims.
Im embarrassed to put a picture of my car, but Ill snap one and get it on here. Let's hear about how your cars are doing?

The day I had the tints removed 2 months ago. Last pic and nothing special with it. The car needs a lot of overdue maintenance that I havent been able to afford due to "life". Dont drive it as much as I used to but I do miss the fun of the 6spd. Hope to have it in tip top shape again by at least the end of summer and hold it for another 2 or 3 more years.

My father bought his 07 SL new, upgraded from his 96 SE. He does not take very good care of it. My sister (smoker) and niece (mcnugget queen) used it and abused it over the years. Basically a family car that actually got used as a family hauler. It's even been in a few fender benders. It has a new hood and repainted fender and it got rear ended.
I've tried to give it the treatment it deserves over the years, but rarely did more than fix what was broken. Last year I finally got the chance to really pamper it. It actually looked nearly new after I slaved over it, for weeks might I add. I did some 100k maintenance, extensive detailing, floor pan rust repair, and added a few extras here and there. The list went on and on.

That's impressive Jsutter. I try not and looks at pictures of when my 03 was new. Just get semi-depressed. I have taken good care of her, but 13 years is a lot of time. She's a garage queen now, but the engine bay really gets me mad.

Yeah I know its a bit embarrassing but lets get pics up and then we can get to work and get our cars looking sharp again. Like your car, my interior is great and even smells new since I don't really eat or drink much in the car. Its the outside and some maintenance problems that are issues for me.

I hear you loud and clear. I've had my 4th gen since '04. It looks terrible. Rusty McRusterton. I need to get on it now. I have not driven it since '12, when I bought my truck. Still, I did the 00vi and Cattman headers.
