New guy to Maxima forum
I am new to the Maxima forum, I am looking to purchase a 2004-2008 Nissan Maxima within the next month or two. Can anyone suggest whether I should go with the SE or SL? And I am going to be looking to do a little bit of tuning to it possibly too. Anyone with any kind of suggestions please get at me. Preciate the help!!

Welcome to the org. I can only say you should move your options to the 2007 and 2008 model years. 2004-2006 have transmission issues; though these can now be easily resolved, might as well save yourself the hassles.

Nissan extended my xmission warrantee to 100K miles on my 08 so I guess there was some problems.

Also new and can't find how to open new thread!
I just found this site and just bought a 2007 Maxima SL with 157k(beyond recall 100k limit). I'm getting a P0845 (transmission fluid pressure sensor B (primary pressure sensor) OBD2 code and need to know if this will be a pricey fix or reasonable one since it seems to be a pretty straightforward repair(drain, drop pan, swap primary sensor, replace clean pan, refill). I searched for any posts on P0845 here and found none. I also got a P0455 code for an evaporative leak detected. The tranny one is my primary concern. These were the only codes I got from the ECM. Do I have options?
