Program sun visor garage door opener

Does anyone have instructions on how to do this if you dont have a remote for the opener? I found one that said you hit the two outside buttons then hold then hit the middle while hitting your remote but I dont have a remote for my opener.

He doesn't have a remote (hand-held transmitter) for his garage door opener, which is required to program the Homelink transceiver.

To the OP, I thought that the "Rolling Code Programming" would be the way to go with you, but that is just an additional step to complete the programming of rolling code garage door openers; the remote is still required.
Hopefully there is a way around your dilemma.

You can do it all from the garage door motor without the remote. You'll just need another person.

Follow the instructions for "rolling code programming" in the above link. This should work without the hand-held transmitter, (assuming your door opener was manufactured post 1996).

+1 should have specified to follow the rolling code instructions.

Rolling code instructions are ADDITIONAL steps to follow after the initial regular programming is done, for which you need the hand-held transmitter or remote, according to the owner's manual.

If there is a button to open the door from inside the garage, that will throw the signal and the homelink can connect to it.

Unless the garage button is hard-wired to the opener. Mine is.

It is hard wired. Isn't there a sync button on the motor itself usually? I will check this as soon as I can. Hard to work on anything with a 2 year old when your wife isn't home lol.
