Your opinion or experiences, please.

Thanks in advance!!

Should I try new rear shocks, sway bar bushings and links? A new bar or some or all of the above? I have 69K and am hearing a rattle at times...... need to isolate it yet. New hub bearings or no since they're not "roaring" about 35-40 MPH. I'm figuring whatever I find, these other components are maybe due or will at least improve response times and road feel and confidence. I drive ~700 miles/wk.

While I'm at it, I'm gonna improve the brakes too, and likely some front suspension components as well.

Thanks........

I had a rattle from my rear shocks. Took me a while to find the cause as it did not happen when the weather was warmer. Turns out that there was a metal cap on the rear shock bumper that was rattling around. I had the noise when I hit a bump especially if it was on an angle. It appears that when the weather was warmer the rubber part of the bumper kept the metal cap in place. I would expect that others would have the same issue with their 7th gen rear shocks. I just added a rubber washer to keep the metal cap in place and have not had any issues for a few years now.

What are you trying to achieve ultimately?
It's not a good approach to just throw parts at random.
Diagnose what's worn or failed and replace with new counterparts. Simple

Good question, and good point, and wasn't advocating for anything differently. In fact, I think I mentioned I have yet to pinpoint (or crawl under the car for that matter) yet.

First, I'm going to find the source of the noise and repair. After that, (and I should have worded this differently from the start), I'm wondering AT WHAT MILEAGE your OEM components started to fail or degrade to the point of making noise or ride quality suffering. I'm trying to improve ride quality and response in any way I can. If I can find OEM parts on sale (that I might deem time to replace) and maybe upgrade to a Stillen rear bar, what else at 69K miles would you recommend for a car that racks up about 750 miles/wk.?
