I'm 47 had a Maxima damn near all my life first car a even though my first car was a Ford Escort a 85, with a experimental tranny. I know blew out three before the warranty expired peice of s***. Then was a Maxima GLe 88, SE 94, another SE in 2000. Know I enjoy a 1997 Maxima SE and I love it with the feul economy as well as reliable.

I'm 61, the wife is 63. She is the primary owner/driver. When I'm good (or it needs washed) I'll get to drive it. Her previous ride was an 03 Monte Carlo SS which was hard for her to part with but we traded it in for the Maxima. The Maxima was the only car we test drove (and we drove a few) that had 4 doors (grand kids you know) and had the look and feel she was after. She likes a sport suspension feel so she even chose the Sport Package over the Premium's ride. When I'm not on one of the bikes I drive a 2010 4wd, 4 door Chevy Z71 Silverado. Always been a Chevy family but they don't have what we currently wanted in a 4 door so we'll give the Maxima shot. What a beautiful, responsive car it seems to be. Also, the features you get for the price are unbeatable.

I'm 20. Love my Maxima a lot!!!!! I can't stop staring at it when I walk away from it at a store, my school, or even my house. I drove a 1995 Nissan Altima before and it's a very reliable car. Never had problems. I was planning to purchase a 2011 Altima until I saw the Tuscan Sun Max on the lot. I gave it a shot and instantly loved it. My girlfriend told me I pamper it more than her so she broke up with me.
Oh well girlfriends are always replaceable but not cars!!!!

I am currently a honda civic owner. Really thinking about buying a 2012 Nissan Maxima but have never bought a car for 30K. How do you like the car? I have had the Civic for almost 9 years. I want a vehicle with a luxury look and feel, smooth ride, but how the car handles in the rain is really important. Anyone, please let me know if this car handles good in the rain and is smooth.

If you want a 'luxury ride', that would mean you would want either the 'S', the 'SV' or the 'SV with premium package'. In other words, you do NOT want the 'SV' with 'SPORT' package, as the lower profile tires of the 'Sport' package give a firmer ride than all Maximas without the 'Sport' package. Carrying the recommended 33 psi in the tires also helps to soften the ride. Some of us here carry up to 37 psi in order to give a firmer, tightly-controlled ride; you would like the ride of the 33 psi better.
As to how a car handles in the rain, that is far more a function of the tires than the car. I have had very good performance in the rain (and dry as well) with my stock Goodyear RS-As that come on all Maximas, but some here do not like the RS-As in any form or fashion. There is a 'summer tire option' that around 5% of Maximas come with. You would NOT want any kind of 'summer' tire in a rainy area. You can go to any tire rating service such as www.tirerack.com and find out which tires do well in the rain. I would think the RS-As would get decent 'wet' performance.

Im 20 and I bought my second Maxima on 12/9 of this month. Its a 09 Radiant Silvier SV w/Sport Pkg w/Black Leather. I also have a 4th gen Maxima. I decided to keep it because I know I wouldnt get what I want for it. Plus its been in my family since it was new. So now I have two Maximas. You won't believe, but my parents actually talked me into buying the car because it was such a good deal. I was going to wait till sometime in 2012 but I went ahead and gave it a shot. Honestly, I glad I did. I loveeeee my new Maxima

30.
This is my 3rd Maxima 1993 and 2000.
Also had 7 Zcars among a ton of others.
The Max is just a great blend for me. Actually considering upgrading the Max, rather than buying yet another toy for the spring/summer, like I do every year. It is that nice out of the box.

25 bout to be 26.
The 2011 Maxima is my first car since I had my 2003 Matrix XRS. I miss my baby, but I traded her in for the mistress. Haha!
Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and it was a good decision upgrading to the maxima.
