I'm 34. I've never been a huge car enthusiast, just wanted something nice looking with decent power. My 2010 Maxima is by far the nicest car I've ever owned. Here's my history:
1994 - White 1990 Mazda 323 Hatchback. This was actually my parents' car that they let me drive during my senior year of high school. My friend bought some clamps to lower the suspension and we tried it out on the car. It looked a bit nicer, but made ride a bit rougher.
1995 - Black 1995 Chevy Cavalier. Decent inexpensive car that I bought for college. My parents have a GM card, so my parents helped me buy it partially with their GM rebate.
2001 - Blue 2001 Oldsmobile Alero GLS. Bought this one as the Cavalier was getting long in the tooth. Still have this car as it's still in pretty good condition and still fairly fun to drive (has a V6 engine and sunroof). My parents used their rebate money again to help put a little down into the car. What sucks is that I had bought it like a month before 9/11 and we had like a 5 year 3.99% APR. After 9/11, GM offered 0% financing for 5 years. We called to see if they could redo our financing to the 0%, they didn't. My dad was pissed and cut up his GM credit cards. He got over it though and still uses the card.
2011 - Dark Slate 2010 Maxima SV Premium with spoiler - Love the car so far, so luxurious compared to my other cars. I sometimes open the garage door just to look at it for a couple minutes

First Maxima
I just leased a 2011 Maxima 3.5 SV with the Premium Package and Premium Technology Package. It's fully loaded and I'm still figuring out all of the features. I'm not sure I could ever live without the heated steering wheel again. Cars I've owned include a 2002 Eclipse, 1995 3000GT and 1990 Camry.

OMG, I thought I was the only person that did that, anytime I take out the garbage I always stare at the Maxima for a few minutes. I love that rear end, one of the nicest Ive ever come across

You are not alone, lol. Yeah, the backside of these Maximas are nice. And the front. And the side . I like how you don't see so many Maximas on the road that you feel like you're driving the same car as everyone else. Makes driving feel a little more unique.
#247
haha, I wish that was the case here in NY. Everyone has a 7 gen maxima, lol. I have seen about 3 to 4 Maximas that are the EXACT setup as mine, Silver,Sport Package and its soo annoying.

Just picked up my 09' Maxima SV with sport package the other day. Barely over 7k miles. So far I love it. I just came from a 07' Civic SI while a nice car, was not what the 36 year old me wanted any more.
Cars over the last few years:
2000 Dodge Dakota SLT 4x4 w/ 4.7L - Bought in 99, Stopped motorcycle road racing after 7 years at the end of 2001 season, sold as I needed something more efficient and family friendly.
2001 Mazda Protege ES - Good little car, drove it happily for a few years.
2005 Subaru Legacy GT Limited - Loved this car, Prodrive PFF7's, iON suspension, Cobb Acessport with TDR map, Cobb UP, DP and exhaust. Totaled when fell asleep at the wheel after working 70 night hours in a week.
2006 Mazda Mazdaspeed6 - Decent car, had this weird ability to make my wife vomit just about every time she got into the car. Not sure if it was the ride or torque but got annoying after a year so traded it in since it got annoying dealing with her car sickness in it.
2007 Honda Civic SI Sedan - Great car, only mod was HFP 17" wheels. Just got to the point where I wanted something more like my Legacy, but hate the new body style.
Now - 09' Maxima - Love it so far.

Just sold my 03 Ford SVT Lightning for my brand new 2010 Premium.... Found this one inventory held with no kms and VIN unregistered = full warranty for rediculously good price FTW. Couldnt pass it up after researching the 7th Gen over the past 3 months. The test drive iced the cake.
Im not going to list how many car's I've owned, but my project car of 8 years will stick with me for many years. (JVC Canada Demo car)
Looking to start fresh with the new toy to learn and develop the 7th Generation maxima scene.

RS is still real nice, I was actually considered a Camaro SS, but I wouldn't of been able to keep up with fuel costs, so I got a Max, plus I wanted the Manual trans, and I would've had to learn on that, no good for me. I would actually love to see some pics of the Camaro btw.

hey guys, on topic of the thread I'm 28. I just picked up a white on black 09 with sport & tech, it has 39,000kms. Love everything about this car! Back in the day I had a 93 Maxima and that car was a machine! Ran till almost 400k before I let her go. So needless to say Ive always had a good opinion on Nissan vehicles in general. Plus that GT-R is probably my fav car on the road right now!
Glad to be on here and look forward to sharing info with everyone.

I must be a vehicular Benjamin Button. I'm 46. I started out driving old men's luxury yachts (LTD, 2 LeSabres and a Century with a carriage top), worked my way through an Avalon and an Expedition and yesterday, swapped out my Caddy SLS for the 2011 SV and it feels fantastic (having a hard time keeping the foot off the accelerator and the smile off my face). I guess by the time I'm in my 70s, I'll be driving the 15th generation Soul with baseball cards between the spokes.

45. First Maxima was a 2005 Midnight Blue on Frost Leather, should never have traded it.. great car HUGE interior.. then went to a 2008 Precision Gray on Black Altima 3.5. Great car but a little tight for me. Now back to a 2011 Maxima SV Crimson Black on Black, loaded to the gills..
Long time lurker here!

Haha I do the same thing. I try not to stare too long so my neighbors don't think I'm some self-absorbed jerk but I will definitely take longer taking out the trash/recycling and even find make up reasons to go grab something from my car. Such a beautiful car and unique car.
