Broken Heated Steering Wheel

Wall of text.. TLDR below

So I got my 2014 Maxima in Feb/March and the heated steering wheel had never worked.. got it brand new with like 200 miles on it (was driven up from a dealer about 180 miles away) anyways.. noticed the heated steering wheel button didn't light up one day when I went to use it..
No big.. called the dealer and they told me to just schedule an appt with the maintenance dept. I decided to hold off till my first oil change as spring was right around the corner.

Bring my car in for the oil change and to have them fix that and they were like well.. the button is broken we'll have to get one ordered. So I was like blah.. not a huge deal.. it's almost summer I don't need it. I'll fix it next oil change...

Fast forward to now.. I brought it in, second oil change.. replaced button
.. still didn't work.. faulty steering wheel..

So I brought it in today, steering wheel replaced.. still didn't work... well now they kept my car in the shop and gave me a loaner for the time being while they contact nissan and open up a case or something with them.

I'm HOPING maybe somebody has had this issue on their car? Hoping I could call them tomorrow and be like hey... try this.. lol

Thanks for reading TLDR below

TLDR -- bought new maxima (7th Gen) and heated steering wheel never worked. Dealer replaced button and wheel.. neither worked and now my car is in their shop waiting for Nissan to help them.

If it isn't the button, or the wheel, then it is the wiring.
But, nothing you tell them will make a difference.
A competent mechanic would start checking continuity on all of the wires in the system.

Yeah he mentioned they had the power and ground straight to the wheel and it didn't work. Idk I guess I wasn't really expecting anybody to be like hey this is what's wrong but it would have been nice lol just hoping I'm not stuck in this loaner for too long

Exactly but you'd be surprised how the simpliest of things will be the most overlooked
