Aftermarket exhaust and cold air intake suggestions

Hey all. Just picked up a 2012 maxima sv last week and looking to make a few minor upgrades to start. Does anyone have any recommendations for an after market exhaust and cold air intake?

I'm also looking for some good rotors and pads. Just looking to see if anyone has any suggestions?

Thanks guys!

There's like 385858 threads on this use the search.I have the k&n short ram intake and it sounds good but not sure it has any actual benefits they said it actually hurts performance.

It really depends on your budget as well as the sound you want and brand preference. I have a Borla exhaust and Afe takeda intake. The Borla has a nice rumble and louder than stock yet not obnoxiously loud. If you want a loud exhaust, stillen is a nice option.

The borla exhaust is the most popular exhaust we sell and one of the nicest in my opinion. As for intakes, takeda is good and so is Injen.

K&N 69 series Typhoon Cold Air Intake! Best investment I've ever made. I've owned a few vehicles and have always put this intake on.

As for exhaust, I would go borla. I'm not at that point yet but I will be upgrading to a borla exhaust when I can.

I hear you! Most people believe what the intake makers write on their websites but in reality the do very little in terms of performance. Most cars will actually lose HP but the sound of the intake on the motor does sound awesome. There's nothing wrong with installing an intake on your vehicle as long as you realize it's only going to look and sound cool but offer no real performance gains.

The only way to really see performance gains would be to actually pipe in cold air from outside of the engine bay and even then I am sure it's not worth the trouble unless you're tracking your car.

As for the exhaust I have the Megan Racing CBE on my Max and I am happy with it. Not as expensive as others but it's a quality system and the tone is nice but not obnoxious.
