Anybody elses lunge?

Have an 09 sv just over 71,000 miles and my car when slowing down to a stop if I'm light on the brake lunges kind of. Not to the point of being scary but feels like it's shifting down to first or the torque converter is working over time or something. Any advice or help?!? Thanks!

What you describe sounds like the engine braking function our cars have which is why they are so good on Brake pads. Our motor uses engine compression in order to aid in slowing the vehicle down. The engine braking shuts off once the vehicle slows to mph or so. This is the "lunge" feeling that you are experiencing. In short, it's completely normal and should not be a concern. If it really bothers you I believe I recall others on this forum disabling this function at the dealer.

Great thank you! It doesn't worry me at all I was curious because the 3 month warranty from the dealer ends soon and wanted them to look at it before that if need be and also if my wife (heaven forbid) were to drive it one day!
