Side mirror tilt/seat position programming
Hey all, first time posting. I just purchased a 2012 Maxima SV about 3 months ago, love the car so far. The side mirror LED's were both acting wonky at time of delivery so the dealer agreed to order me new LEDs. To my surprise a week or so later 2 brand new mirrors ended up at my doorstep. I installed the mirrors and tested the auto-tilt feature, and the first time it worked perfectly. However, the second time and every time after that it stopped working. After some research I found I needed to set the mirror positioner selector to either the left or right side, which worked, however the mirrors now tilt at the furthest extreme on both ends. So they both tilt ALL the way down, then when I come out of reverse they both tilt ALL the way back up. I have also noticed that my driver settings don't seem to remember changes I make to 'Driver 1', even after I save the settings. They always revert back to the settings I had when I first programmed a few months ago.
I use the same FOB haven't ever tried my other one.
I read somewhere someone referenced a way to program the memory on the side mirrors with some sort of special combination of things, but it wasn't very clear and kept saying 'refer to the manual' but I have checked the manual over and do not see anything about programming the mirrors.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Trying to avoid a trip to the dealer just want to enjoy some of the cool features of my new car
