Black handle in glove box?

I recently bought a used 2014 Maxima and found a loose black handle in the glove box. I've searched the manuals but can find anything regarding this. Does anyone know what this might be for?

Do you also have a Quidditch broom in the trunk?

On a serious note, OP that handle is used to access the control panel in the trunk in order to activate the floatation device in the event you find yourself in high water situations. It's should be in your owners manual.

On my Max the flotation handle is bright red.
I do however have a black handle to unlock the manual tranny option.

Some of these replies are priceless, but rather than a "handle" perhaps it is the wire cover between the headliner and mirror? I noticed the car wash folks put mine in the center console after it became loose!

Doesn't look like it would be a handle rather a molding trim piece. I looked in my car for this shape and couldn't find anything, so if it belongs in the car it is well hidden or disguised.

Now that you say that, it does appear to be a piece of trim. It is the same color and texture as the rest of my trim, but I can't figure out where it is from. Apparently the previous owner couldn't either. Anyone out there have an idea where this piece is supposed to go?

Lumbar Support handle? You don't mention if you have the climate control seats or perhaps the seat channels?

I found it !

It goes at the end of the driver seat left rail at the back . There is also a smaller one for the right rail.

But I can't see on any exploded view.

Thanks so much! It was actually the right side rail trim. There is a larger one on the left side. Wonder why the passenger seat has no trim on the rails.

So that it doesn't interfere with the passager ejection mechanism.

Darnit! The previous owner of our newest acquisition must have removed these! I want those and the passenger eject lever put back.. how much do you think the dealership would charge to install them?
