Spoiler Wiring question

I bought a rear spoiler but I want to keep the 3rd brakelight working. I'm no wiring expert by any means and I'm just looking for what I need and need to do to connect the spoiler brakelight. Do I need a 3way butt connector or are there connections that can be made up?

Agreed!! You beat me to it, no need to buy the butt connector, just simply splice and re-tape it and go on about your business.

Mine works fine and I didn't pay for any additional expense to get it that way.
