As stated above, re-wash the car. I dont think claybar is necessary but I would suggest a surface cleaner and wax definitely. See if you can get your hands on a product called Farecla G10

50/50 Vinegar water in a spray bottle mixed with a little bit of your car wash or quick detailer will take em right off

agreed. also might wanna consider getting a hard water filter aka water softener. hard water is what causes the water spots that are hard to get off.

Yup they have $20 inline water filters available at most walmarts, targets, ect... Screw right onto the hose.

Have any of you used Bead X. A friend just recommended it to me. He uses it for quick touch up work. http://www.formula113.com/about.html.

what i want to know is why are all the 09+ maxima owners creating posts in their subforum about detailing issues instead of posting them in the detailing subforum? are their threads being moved or do they think their cars are too awesome for that subforum?

Easy big fella'...no sense ruffling feathers just to point out there's a better place to post these kinds of questions...

pretty much in the thread where i see them post, is the place to post them. i mean. thats alot of where i see detailing based questions come from. i want to know if the mods have moved these threads or did teh owners put these questions here. alot of other owners can benefit from the questions they asked if put in teh right place. someone cant search in the detailing section and find this info because its in the 09+ subforum.

then when a thread comes up about 'water spots' the search function wont work if they narrowed it down to the detailing part.

I posted a few questions about detailing in the 7th gen because I didn't know there was a detailing section. All the info I've ever needed was on the 7th gen forum so I had no reason to hunt around the site. After finding the detailing section though I realized there is no need to post ANY questions, that place has some amazing information in it if you take the time to read it.
