I hate the center console.... to me it seems like they went cheap and used that console as an all in one console design for their suv's and cars. like i sat in a co-workers pathfinder and the console is identical. The way the screen is placed it seems to be designed for a minivan. Thats exactly what I thought when i 1st saw the interior-"minivan center console". Thast the only thing the 6th gen has over this gen, it's interior was actually designed for the maxima. My favorite type of console design is where the screen is tucked in like the 5 series. Hopefully the 8th gen gets this.

Hear hear!! Those are hideous, I wouldn't even consider buying a car with those things.

DoooT "Fuel Level is low"....."parking brake is on"..lol . Amongst other things one thing that the 2nd gen had that only the 1st gen had as well was the adjustable tilt of the passenger side seat cushion. Every gen since only has a 4 way adjustable passenger front seat.....Get with it Nissan on the "flagship"!

I had two gen 2 Maximas (both 1985 models). On my 'SE', I named the eternally speaking voice 'Hildegarde', and on my wife's 'GL', I named the voice 'Brunhilda.' My wife said the names were perfect.

Most folks in the deep south did not like the concise, demanding tone of the voice. Sort of sounded like a female Gestapo guard ordering prisoners to line up at the gas chamber door.

Of course, having lived in NYC, LA, etc, etc, I knew the tone of the voice would be considered rather normal outside the south.

Lol, I agree. Being from S. California now living in Texas your voice/speech assessment is on point. They tell me often that I speak to fast......My 1st car was a 87 GXE and I loved the voice and that car!

I absolutely love my Music Box, but am well aware CD technology will be on its way out in the not-too-distant future, and the CD Music Box would have disappeared anyway.
Sorry for bringing this back up....but my 2013 SV Premium HAD music box on it. I didn't think anything about it but in Oct it was unfortunately totaled (got rear ended) and was looking for a similar replacement and found out that music box wasn't an option for 2013....

if true..how did my 2013 have it?
