Replacing Transmission mount...

Did some searching for it and think I found one thread describing the swap, but need clarification.

Can you really replace the Trans Mount from above? From what read, you need to remove the intake piping, battery & tray, and then just support the trans with a jack while you swap it out.

It can't be just that easy.

I actually wouldn't even attempt it from the bottom. So yeah, it is that easy.

+1. You may also have to move some power and starter wires out of the way.

Oh and a really long socket extension helps.

Thanks guys. It just seeemed too easy. I had my mechanic replace the torque mounts and pass engine mount with ones form ebay, but I think I am going to do the trans one myself when I get it ordered from the dealer.

The trans mount may be easier in the sense that you don't have to go under that car, but it takes the most time too replace out of all the mounts because there are a lot of bolts and hardware to remove to get to it. Then once you get to it you will have to disconnect the starter wire and other wires that are in the way of the mount to pull it out. It may be easier to remove to starter completely to give you more room to pull out the mount.
