my car is jumping at stops

i got a 96 auto and when i stop at a light it feels like my motor is jumping.at first it was only at lights and now it does it while i am driving some times.some times it feels like it is gonna stall on me. there are no cel codes either. i was told it was my torque converter and then i was told it could be bad fuel injectors also. i am stumped any input will help, and when i first get in to go anywhere it takes a minute to star the car i have to keep turning the key then letting off then turning it over again i have to do that 2 or 3 times before it will start

Question: Say you have a hard time starting, and get it started, cut the car off, will come right on? or do you have to try cranking it multiple times?

sounds like one of the crank sensors. Prolly rear crank sensor. Test both and CPS.

Remember a resistance test with the crank sensor tells u nothing. The test for the CKPS is a voltage test.

Definitely a misfire.

Causes:

1) Fuel injector
2) Spark Plug
3) Coil Pack

I'm willing to guess it's ignition related **cough*** coil pack...

@ nj max its not a misfire but it does almost feel like one and i have done all my coil packs and plugs but not injectors yet and no cel
@ cashoit where are the crank sensors and if you have what the resistance should be that would help
@ tigersharkdude just have to keep cranking but this morning before i went to work it shut off when i put it in reverse and pressed the gas but that is the first time it has done that

i assume you have already cleaned TB and MAF, replaced PCV and ECTS.

Read my earlier post. A resistacnce test tells u nothing about the crank sensors. Test for the cranks is a voltage test.

The test for the Camshaft postiion sensor is a resistance test

so the oil dont mean my camshaft position sensor is bad?and i tried to get the o-ring today but they dont carry it at autozone anyone know where to get it
and @ maxjamin i am throwing no codes it has been scanned multiple times when i first the bought the car i threw a p0731 (1st gear malfunction) but that just went away other than that any codes that have been thrown were fixed so i dont think it is a miss but i might as well try an injector to
