Convince me, 2016 SR Maxima or.. ?

I have on order for August delivery a 2016 SR Maxima. Hearing of Nissan Connect problems, window problems, CVT problems and fuel tank problems are freaking me out. I had also considered the 2016 SS Camero and it's looking more promising by the hour. Really like the Maxima but things like Pandora and transmissions that struggle are hurting the Maximas first impression. One thing that concerns me is the Connect has had these problems but they have not been addressed. The other problems are new to a new product which is more understandable. Feeling a little underwhelmed, any suggestions?

The Nissan Connect thing isn't really a problem with any of the hardware or software. It's just that Nissan has only made the Google search app functional at the moment. I'm sure they will add more functional apps at some point (like Pandora, Facebook, etc.), but there is a ridiculous monthly fee for Nissan Connect so why bother. For most this is really a non-issue because the Bluetooth audio works just fine (I use it with Spotify on my phone and all of the song info displays on the nav screen and the sound quality is great).

I've had my SR for a little over a month now and have had zero issues. Most of the complaints on here I've read are about the moonroof, which is a non-issue for SR owners.

Appreciate the reply

Thanks for reply. I ordered a SR with Sport fin, rocker trim, led ground lighting, interior led and in pearl blue. Hope they give us good news tomorrow. Also noticed some places discounted the car? Guess I will need finagle!

Nice, sounds like you got one fully loaded. Be sure to post pics when it arrives. I absolutely love this car and think you will as well.

As for discounts, I needed a replacement vehicle right away, so it didn't bother me that I paid MSRP, but I'm glad the dealers are showing more wiggle room for those willing to wait.

Right now, the best discounts are for those who finance (the portion of the price not offset by a tradein) with a Nissan loan. If you go that route, you should try to get between 3K and 4K off the MSRP.

And even if you do not finance through Nissan, most dealers are now willing to talk discounts to a point. Be nice, but be firm. You might save a few thousand bucks.

Camaro SS or a maxima? Very odd choices.
A V6 CVT FWD sedan or a V8 RWD 6sp coupe.

I have been shopping the Chevrolet SS vs the Maxima for a while now. I also have an interest in a Jeep Cherokee SRT, and the BMW M3 if I had unlimited money. Lot of cool cars out there but money wise the Maxima is going to give me the most for my money.

What about a G37? Cadillac (depreciates like crazy)?

G37 seems like an upgraded nissan. Im decided on the 2016 maxima as the rest are much more expensive, but thats just a list of my interests if money was not a factor.
