Definitely tune it. I know someone who put down around 150 whp without tuning. They made/put on a 2.5" cat back, tuned in the larger injectors w/ a wideband, and made 190ish whp.

The PFTB is larger, but the MAF is still a little smallish.

First define slow.
Second get a dyno
Third...Profit??

No restriction due to the maf. It is 70 mm just like the PFTB.

I confused the PFTB to be the same ID as the FWDVQ35 TB.

don't forget you'll want a RPM window switch for the 00vi to open. I don't know how much that would hurt you with it being closed all the time (it's not terrible at lower rpms with a MEVI, little worse than the USIM, but not terrible).

You need something to open the VI up. Also, with the DEK injectors your going to be running a little rich. With out a tune you are probably right about the car feeling slugish.

Larger MAF sensor housing for a very raw leaning affect. But you would want to monitor the reading (AFR) to stay safe.

http://forums.maxima.org/showthread.php?t=137148

Pony up, get a wbo2 & piggyback.

Tuning is fairly simple. You first want to get a wideband that can provide datalogging. When you upload the information you will see A/F for a particular rpm. Than you go to your piggy back...lets say a VAFC-II. You want to tune 13.0 to 13.2 for NA. Now the way to tune on a VAFC is you go negative to lean it out and go positive when you want to add fuel. You will understand when you get it.

not to take business away from tilley but 95naSTA is selling cam spacers. He made a whole thread and it didn't seem like too many people were interested so i assume he has a couple sets left. Pm him for more info.

It wont do any good because the FWD 3.5L MAF is the same I.D. as yours. I corrected myself as I was thinking of the FWDVQ35DE TB as opposed to the PFTB, so completely disregard my first post. As for the 'raw' 'tuning I mentioned, you probably want to stay waywa from that as well since you need to become much more familiar with the general principle/concept behind all of these proven theories.

If I were you, I'd get very familiar with the FSM as well as the stickys on top of this forum page. Also, just because you 'lose' on the street to a certain car, doesn't mean you're slow and something is wrong. You need tog et your hands on some 'tools'. Whether it be a 1/4 mile track, a dyno, or data logging software. With any one or combination of tools, you can pinpoint a problem if there is indeed one.

If that's the case, then delete your thread because you're running out of options FAST. It's not hard to 'tune'. Speed racer put it as simple as possible.

WBo2 sensor = wideband o2 sensor.

Seems as if you need to reread the stickys, you seem to need to brush up on a few items.
