Excellent post. As far as the coolant passage for the hr head gasket, you did that yourself with a carbide dremel? It came fantastic. Very nice work.

I had originally planned on taking the block and putting it in a manual mil but my access to said mill dried up. I used a 1/4" air rotary file with carbide bits and did the final clean-up with a carbide Dremel bit. I made sure and taped everything up that I didn't want chips in and cleaned as I went. It turned out better than I thought it would.

Since I do quite a bit of road course running, I figured it couldn't hurt to have a better cooling solution.
