Stock Stereo

Hey,
I bought my 2000 SE with the middle stereo. Should have went for the Bose. Does anyone know if it is a quick upgrade after buying the Nissan Bose somewhere other than a dealer? Is it an amp in the trunk, whole new deck, or only speaker upgrades? I don't know a hell of a lot about car stereos but I know quite a bit about home systems.
If anyone has a better suggestion than the Bose at a reasonable price, I'm all ears.
Thanks
JZ

If you didnt get it stock, forget getting it after the fact. Plus that, there are some great aftermaket systems that cost less than the Bose , and sound as good or better. Clarion, (who makes the Bose head unit) makes a nice double din CD\cassette player for around $350, there are some nice 4 channel amps for around $350 to $400, and tons of speakers out there for around $100 to $150 a pair that I think you would be pretty happy with.
