HU Display Not Working

My Kenwood display has gone out but everything still works fine. It's only about a year and a half old. It came back on the other day for about 5 minutes but went off again. Anyone had this happen and how to fix it?

what model of kenwood? Is it one of those flip out ones. My wife had one in her car and we found out it was the ribbon cable that connects the main unit to the motorized flip face. It was about $50 more to purchase a new deck so that's what we did. Sorry about your luck. maybe warranty?

I will have to go look at the model but it's an Excelon. It isn't motorized. I have had a motorized one and it was the last time, those are just waiting to break.

Anyway, the face does fold down but it doesn't have a ribbon. When the face goes back up it connects with the rest of the deck if you know what I'm saying. I'm not sure about the warrenty but I looked in the book it came with and it said warrenty was 1yr but I could have sworn Excelon's were 2yr warrenties. I guess since it it doesn't have a ribbon it could be that connection point. Maybe?
