Any interest in custom front door speaker spacers/adapters?

I have joined up with Patrick (Phenryiv1) of Subaruaudio.net fame to make some custom speaker adapters for Maximas (and most other Nissans)!

As most of you are probably aware, it can be a challenge to mount aftermarket speakers in the front doors of our cars without some work. There are cheap plastic adapters already available, but they often don't have a wide enough opening for many aftermarkets speakers, and if you get the larger size that provides greater depth (to clear the windows when they go down) they don't provide a proper seal and you will end up with crappy sound. They also use PVC, but if you've ever held one, they are flexible and brittle, which are not problems with our adapters. That flex can lead to vibrations with higher powered speakers, and nobody likes that.

Patrick started out making these for Sentras back when he had a B15, and considered making some for Maximas, but he ended up getting so busy making these for Subarus (after he sold the B15) that the Nissan stuff got put on the back burner. Even though modding Maximas is trending downhill, I still thought it would be nice for people to have the option to buy quality, custom speaker adapters for these cars.

We use either 1/2" or 3/4" PVC depending on the depth of your speakers, and can cut them for pretty much any 6.5" speaker on the market. These are custom made for your specific application, and since they are made with PVC, you will never have to worry about them rotting or swelling from moisture, which is a major problem with adapters made from MDF.

Here are some pics of them being used on my latest stereo install with Focal Performance speakers:

Viola! No drilling, no cutting, just a nice quality bolt-in part that you can trust.

They are available for $30 shipped for a pair, or $55 shipped if you need four. These will fit 4th, 5th, and 6th gens. For most Maxima applications, only the front two are needed. However, these will also work on G35/350Zs, as well as most other Nissans from the past 15 years, so please contact me if you would like a set for another application. You can PM me here, or send me an email at: Nick (at) subaruaudio.net.

I would like to hear any feedback or comments on this, so please don't be shy! Thanks for looking.
