VQ Sentra Wins Global Time Attack
Some of you remember us (www.2j-racing.com), well we are still at it with our VQ sentra. This weekend we took home a win in Global Time Attack, limited FWD class and set a new record. And we did it on Ventus TD tires.

Its just a stock tranny, stock axles.. nothing special. We had to run the Ventus street tires to remain in "limited" class. Hoosiers would put us in Unlimited class.
I was told the announcer had to keep qualifying that the Sentra had a maxima motor. That's funny. With so many hondas, mitsus and other makes out there, they didnt know what to think about the little Nissan.
Our car really isnt anything special. We custom make the BC coilovers, most of ya'll know about our panhard rods for the maxima/sentra. And our motor is an 02 Maxima motor with C8s and 11-1 pistons. Thats pretty much it.
Next year, I'd like a VQ-T with 500whp. In a Sentra.

You mean this sort of event isn't just confined to Road Atlanta?? If something like this happens at NJMP, let me know, cause I'm in!

But I am wondering about the panhard swap if it is street FWD legal, rule book says no relocating suspension pivot points more than 1" from the factory location in the street class. The suspension pivot point used for the SRL goes from above the beam to below the beam with the panhard swap and that is a bit more than an inch.

Great racing and video footage....I didn't even notice the track listed in the vid title but recognized it from playing Forza (original xbox version) over the last week lol. You really gave that high powered vette some fits, excellent and very controlled driving!

The unlimited class has almost no rules on aero development, these production based cars need maximum downforce for a couple of all out laps. Huge downforce isn't designed into production based vehicles, so they will look odd compared to the normal race cars we see. As most sanctioned series races have strict rules on aerodynamic setups.
Speaking of weird setups...

It is said this car develops around 5000 pounds of downforce @ 150 MPH...
