avoid business with thedealonwheels.com

i worked on the web development team for both thedealonwheels.com and thewheelconnection.com (same ownership) and eventually couldn't stand to see the way the man conducted business (from his home office btw) over the phone, thru the internet, as well as the way he treated me personally.

i was well aware of the transactions he was having and yet he always maintained that there wasn't enough business to justify a buck or two per hour raise, and we're talking 1000's of $ in transactions. then he had the nerve to come brag about what a great sales day he was having when times were good.

i once saw him charge a man $400 extra for a set of wheels to be overnighted, yet, he had them IN STOCK and the man was in THE SAME TOWN. so he drove the wheels over himself, and pocketed the $400.

needless to say, i am quite bitter about this dealing. not only will i never talk to him again, he took my best friend and business partner to be his new web tech, leaving me short-handed and underqualified.

i apologize for making this so personal, but i wouldn't wish his business dealings on anyone; his prices may be great but remember when you order, he's running things from the 3rd spare bedroom of his $250k house. some might say he's pretty smart about it cuz it works, but i don't think it's worth sacrificing your ethics over.
thank you for reading.

The Deal on Wheels response from owner

I have no idea what Jordans personal rant has to do with a Maxima but I really need to reply. It is the post about thedealonwheels.com Jordan passed away in 2010 from a skate boarding accident so im going to try to not disrespect the deceased-- RIP Jordan. It is clear from the article that Jordan is upset that his business partner came to work for me. The reason he did this is because I was offering to pay him what he was worth. This is why he left Jordan who was obviously bitter. Regarding charging somebody $400 for overnight wheels, I did have them overnighted in and then personally delivered them the next day as promised. Seems like pretty good customer service. I think if you read you can see a lot of anger over his partner deciding that he was getting paid more and treated better with me. I am more than a fair person, The Deal on Wheels is the best website on the internet.
