Don't do business with Macautopartsdiscounts
Just a note to urge everyone not to do business with macautopartsdiscounts. I bought a set of front struts and isolators from them in July (via EBay) for my 07 Maxima SE. I paid several hundred dollars to have them installed by a reputable shop that I've business with for several years. Both struts failed last week. They were less than four months old. Called them and told them the problem and that I'd like my money back. No go for them; they do not give refunds like that. They will only replace with the same item and only after I purchase, for the second time, the same item. Then they will take the faulty ones back and then send me a refund for the first set. Oh yea, they want me to pay for shipping both ways too.
I asked why in the hell would I replace those items with the same thing that failed in four months. They don't care, that's how they do business. Now, some might say that maybe it was a one time thing and the next set might be just fine......I don't want to take that chance when the installation is several hundred dollars each time. What if the second set failed too (after all, they are made in China and that should have been my first hint that something bad was going to happen).
Has anyone heard of such a back-***-wards warranty policy?
My problem is my problem and I will figure out how to handle this but I just wanted everyone in the forum to be aware. Avoid this business like the plague.
Thanks
