what to use to polish under hood?
question for you guys, what do you use to get the underside of your hood looking GREAT? I mean, what do you use to polish your air intake... the black plastic pieces, etc....

I use mother's Billet Polish on my intake. For everthing else under the hood, i just wash everything down with car shampoo, dry it off with a shammy and the use a plactic/vinyl protector on the plactic and rubber parts. I use 303 portectant.
It ends up looking like this:

chrisaust - For most things I use Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish. Here are the results...
Roshan - For the rusted/corroded stuff you'll probably have to use a buffing wheel and compound. That looks pretty bad, but the pics aren't that clear.

OK, I just use a felt tip mini duster, MajicBlue Metal Polish, Windex, paper towels and latex gloves. Nothing fancy, I never spray fluids directly on engine, I apply to a clean paper towel and wipe. After more than 17 months of owning, you can still almost eat off the engine... Pictures always speak for themselves...
