Quick tip: Kwazar/Mecury Pro sprayer

Happy New Year! Here's a quick tip, pick up the 0.5L Kwazar sprayer. For those who do not know, that spray trigger sprays twice! Once on the pull and once on the release.

However these sprayers are costly, so I picked up the 0.5L and found out yes it does fit on larger size plastic bottles. For example, Ace hardware has a 40oz bottle.

The tip is to use a plastic O ring. Home Depot had PartsMaster Pro #215 1inch O.D. x 3/4inch I.D. x 1/8inch thick. I'm guessing the part number is 58282.

Now simply swap the dip tube (goes into the spray trigger head and into the bottle to pick up the liquid) and be warned you might have to cut the tube to fit then add the O ring in the trigger head where the female threads are. Make sure the O ring is all the way up.

One thing to note, test using water and shake the bottle first. I found it takes a try or two before the O ring makes a water tight seal.

Enjoy your double spray 40 Oz bottle!

:

I can get pics if anyone wants.

Sounds interesting. What advantages does this have on products you buy in spray form? Is this more of a pro detailer thing? Thanks.

The way the sprayer work is, when you press the trigger it sprays and when you let go it sprays. It's called a "Double action sprayer" I honestly rather spend the money on a little pump sprayer it's what I use when I am claying the car.
You can buy them from your Fav box store in the Garden section.

Its for anyone who wants to spray liquids faster with less hand fatigue. Think spraying a spray wax while drying. Easier.
