What is "dte" on Tach guage?

I suspect this is a simple answer for many of you but I just cannot figure out nor can I find an answer in the manual as to what "dte" is on the Tach guage at the bottom of the guage. One item is mpg, another is mph, and there is 3rd which is simple to figure out, but then there is "dte" which is just a big question mark for me. In one neighborhood trip the dte went from 99 to 107. At an earlier point was 306. It does not appear to have anything to do with speed. Any pros who know what this is?????

haha just to let you know....if it goes to --- which is empty, youve got more than 30 miles left going about 70 on the freeway.

if you change your gauge cluster i am pretty sure you can get it put in...but that's a lot of money (not worth it)

yeah the trip computer recalculates itself every few seconds, it varies on speed, acceleration, and the RPM's you avg out at

A leadfoot is not gonna have the same miles to empty as someone in 6th at 60 mph. It recalculates distance to emty using your current MPG at the time so it can go up and down.
