We all know those manufacturer towing recommendations are severely conservative. You can probably tow 10,000 with you max uphill in 110 degree heat with no problems.

DO IT!

I've towed an '04 Pathfinder, as well as a '99 Concorde.
It was for fairly short distances mind you, about 1-2 km. Both times later at night w/ virtually no traffic. I took it nice and easy, the car had no problem pulling.
I used the rear tow hooks; I know they're not designed for that, but as long as they're not rusty and you take it easy, a 300ZX shouldn't be a problem.

Yeah...what you describe are optimal conditions and very little distance. I could push those cars that far....seems to me the OP is talking about a lengthy distance.

well **** i pushed an Integra up a steep driveway once, but i wouldn't tow a car or push a car father than that, and I'm not saying what i did was smart either

OP never came back after his initial post.

Time to lock this one down.
