It is not worth the extra 3-5 hp for about 3-4 hours of labor to take off the stock exhaust manifold.

I'd spend 3-4 hours for the 6 hp that the headers give you. Now the extra $600 is a different story...

Do you have a sound clip of that? Like you said, I'm now looking into the y and b-pipe, and rear section of choice.

Nope. MyDecember just asked this and I told him to imagine the exhaust tone of a G35/350Z and you'll get the idea. Sounds powerful yet classy at the same time.

I'm thinking about making one now though... just gotta find someone with a digital video camera.

WSP Y pipe, test pipe, stock B pipe, 2K muffler. Nice and quiet.

CE y-pipe, CE cat, Cattman b-pipe, dynomax turbo muffler. Sounds aggresive but not overkill.

Cattman from headers-to-muffler. Keep in mind that it won't fit correctly without a few modifications or hangers on the A33. Our rear bumpers on the A33 sticks out further than the maxima bumpers. I had my muffler shop extend the muffler section about 3-5 inches. I recently added roll-edge flowmaster muffler tips on my muffler, and they look bad-a$$. I get tons of compliments over the sharp edge look of the cattman tips that were originally on the cattman muffler.

Full Warpspeed 2 1/2 inch exhaust, magnaflow muffler. To ****in loud, but not overkill. Looking for a new muffler such as a G35 muffler? And yes Leel35. I had to extend about a 5 inch piece of pipe to mine. Bastards.

I have a topspeed ss y, and I paid $150 for a custom catback that includes 2.5" mandrel, no resonator, and a muffler from a new mustang. It sounds nice but def. not overkill- just the way I like it. If my muffler hadn't violently exploded I would have kept the stock muffler as it flows suprisingly well.

The Cattman CAT-Back is tempting, wonder how it will sound with stock header and y-pipe on 2k2 I35. leeI35, did you put the Cattman from headers-to-muffler all at once or progressively?

I've had the whole Cattman Exhaust system including headers and Random catalic convertor on my first Max/i30 A33 and the sound was too loud to me - my opinion!!!
Now i'm running with Cattman Y-pipe( CANLEV) with custom dual muffler and it's much better then before.....
RSG: try to buy/instal just the Cattman muffler! Whenever you want, you can purchase the b-pipe after that
Excuse my English

brio_max: Thanks for the idea and your English is fine~ Since I don't have an after market Y-pipe, you were right the Mid-Pipe may not be necessary. Will contact Brian Catts right now.

btw, if I am just getting the Cattman muffler, do I need to adjust the tip length / "extend the muffler section about 3-5 inches"?

The sound is ok to me. I love the sound without the headers. I bought my exhaust in increments and when I just had the cat-back exhaust and hi-flow cat, the exhaust almost sounded G35 throaty. I had that setup for about two months then I bought headers. When I put on the headers it got LOUD. It was so loud to me that, I went back to stock muffler for a while but, all of my friends said they like the sound of the full cattman H/E/M. Don't get me wrong, I like the sound but it can be loud when going into garages, tunnels, in between buildings etc... I am used to it now and I would not change anything ... POWER > Noise.

leeI35, how should I extend the muffler to reproduce the look you have on yours? I like it. Is this something an exhaust shop should know how-to?

NOCturnalI30, do you have a web site or email that I can contact you?

More Exhaust Options

I haven't been able to find too many any other threads about these two particular exhausts, so was wondering if anybody had any experience with them?

LSS Exhaust:
http://www.lssexhaust.com/

Frankencar
http://www.frankencar.com/products/5...aust/index.htm

I know alot of you have the Frankencar intakes, but don't recall reading anything about their catbacks. Thanks in advance!

I just recently bought a LSS y-pipe. They have great service, but I suggest you call them first before doing anything. Set out what you want from them, then make your order. As for Frankencar, no experience.

my set up (5.0 gen) LSS-y, Magnaflow Muffler.

-Cheers.

Yes, but I've heard the Greddy catbacks are REALLY loud so I would suggest checking out some sound clips in the 5th gen sticky or youtube before buying one.
