03 I35 low beam brightness

I do not feel the low beam light brightness is as good as it should be. I have very good high beams as I replaced the bulbs with Ultra's, but on low beam, especially if the road is wet, they are not good.
The adjustments are good and I also run my fog lights.
Does the HID lights get dimmer over time? I have replaced at least one of the HID bulbs but it does not seem any brighter.

That is odd. The stock I35 HIDs are great. Best advice I can give you is replace both the bulbs with quality bulbs. I would go with theretrofitsource Morimoto 3Five Bulbs in 4300k or 5000k. I've used many different bulb types in my extensive HID mods and say those Morimotos are the best value and have EXCELLENT light output. Waaay better than some eBay ones I purchased.

The bulbs lose their brightness over time. You probably need to replace them.

Been using the Mori 5ks for years, no problems, light is meh, but better than your current typical beater sedan lights on the road these days.

If you still have the factory OEM bulbs, they likely have a ton of hours of use on them. As they age they do get quite a bit dimmer and that'll continue until they die.

Swap in a new set of D2Rs. Stock 4300K or 5000K if you want the light to be slightly whiter. I35s actually have good output compared to Maximas of the same generation.

If you're still not satisfied after getting new bulbs, LMK. I can build you a set of projector headlights. Then you'll really be seeing well
