Interest in an 1/8 mile meet at 9pm Friday?

Would anyone be interested in going to Denton to meet up at Denton Dragway for an 1/8 mile meet Friday night at about 9pm? Denton is a pretty good track (speaking from experience), and even though it is a 1/8 mile, I am sure everyone could still enjoy themselves. The reason I have set 9pm as the time is so that the guys returning from the road course event in College Station can make it back in time so that there will not be any conflict. Price is $10 to race plus the $5 tech card. The track is open until 1AM. Please post yes or no if you are interested.

Here is a link to the track's website. It is located right off of I35 (right below the interstate) so getting to it is extremely easy.

I rather run at a 1/4 mile track, even if it's 0.4 seconds slower.

I'm in for the Denton 1/8th.

Also, unfortunately the only 1/4 mile track less than 4+ hrs away (Ennis) will be closed in preparation for the Monster Truck Racing the following weekend. Believe me, I'd much rather be at the 1/4mile.

Same here, and ya, if Ennis wasn't closed we would definitely head down there (Texas Motorplex).....great track, but ah well, Denton will still be fun. I am sure even on the 1/8 we can have some grudge matches.

Yeah, I am pretty sure this will happen and I think Matt had mentioned heading up there when they got back from College Station. I imagine that there will be more than just 6 show up when it is all said and done.

If I'm still alive when I drive up from College Station, I may head out there.. not sure for me personally at this point. I'd like to go, but I have a feeling I'm gonna be reaaaaaaly tired after 8 hours in the car with half of that sweating under a helmet!

Well, Denton is about 25 miles or so North of downtown dallas on I35, and the track is on the north side of Denton, so you are looking at about 45 mins....but worth it.

Hopefully we'll have time to check in to the hotel first. I'd like to drop off my bags, spare tire, and probably some tools.

Keep spreading the word, I am sure there are a lot of people going to Maxus that would want to do this that just don't know about it.

Well, here's the deal guys, I have seriously been wanting to go to SpeedZone for quite awhile, and Eous says he can get us about a 50% discount. To me, that is something I can rarely do and I can put my car on the track any time. So, if the discount comes out to be that good, then I will be headed to SpeedZone, especially considering it will be much better located.
