For those that attended Maxus 2007

For those that attended Maxus 2007 here in Chicago or even those that want to attend next years what would you like to see happen that you didn't see at this past Maxus. I know one of them is the roadcourse which most of all know, but I would like to know. Also I would like to know what things you didn't like, don't worry I won't take it to heart, it just means that there is something that needed to be improved on. So yeah let me know. Answers that has nothing related to Maxus will be ignored.

Thanks,
Xander

Oh yeah one more thing we are aiming for June 20th to the 22nd 2008 for next years Maxus. But that may change.

the only thing i didnt like was the fact that so many people talked a big game and never showed up and live in that same state. I would love to go to this and see so many cars there that we don't have a place to park them all. but thats just me.

but other then that i really enjoyed my time there

I think it would be great to plan ahead enough to have a place to eat on the first night, rather than having the food brought to the hotel. Granted the pizza was great, but maybe we could find a place that would be able to accomodate a large group.

Although i haven't been to Maxus, i would really like to enjoy going next year but in order for me to attend, i would hope the date can be pushed back to the 27-29 weekend or up to the 13-15 weekend..I'm suppose to be going to MIT to present an engineering project on the 20-22 weekend.. but if not, i hope ev1 will have fun!

Sorry to bump but what's the status of Maxus '08 and it turns out i CAN make the event if it's held during June 20th weekend. My MIT Schedules says i'll b in MIT from the 16th - 20th so when i come back i'll just jump right on the road on the way to Chicago

I believe that at this point the date will depend on road course availability.

Chicago.
if you are interested in sponsoring (no vendor setups at this point). Contact Xmax (Xander) about it. he is the point man for Maxus.

Maxus 08

Chicago is such a sweet location, pretty much right in the middle of the country. I think 2007 Maxus went well. With all the different guys coming from all over and with different agendas, it is amazing that all went as smooth as it did. My compliments to the 07 committee. Please include a trip to the drag strip again. This year my 4th Gen has a new clutch so I will want to run her. The go cart track was also fun, and should be included as well.
We also want to be a sponser again and might even be interested in a day where a shop is rented and you can install our chassis brace with our assistance. Perhaps the Friday right before the weekend? I don't want to focus on this but if there is an interest, I could drive the diesel and bring a load of braces.
Please let me know what Sean, Mike or I can do to help out.

You can pretty much consider another set sold then because I will definitely be up for that!

blah no minnows roasted with walnuts for me.

i'm from a domestic mindset and on their forums if their is a gathering of any kind you saddle up and road trip it. it shows who are dedicated to the game and also who can put together a reliable car.

plus i just like driving.

Mmmmm....minnows! Korean, Tai, Japanese, Italian, Mexican....doesn't matter to me. The point, IMO, is to get together and have fun.

You can bet I'll be there again this summer.

This year I would like to do the road race course if at all possible. And possibly some time set aside to aide in installing others small mods on location.

Also I want to see at least one boosted max! Dan told me I cant boost the max until I own it Oh well I will be running at the drag strip this time also (new clutch the old finally went all the way)

I think the biggest thing would be getting the road course.

Sounds good guys, I'll try to my best to see what interests everyone and try to fit it in the schedule, even if it changes the date as well. But I'll give adequate notice when the date will be set. I'm still just waiting on if a local dealership is willing to sponsor the day at the autobahn.

Hmm time to get her put together? You have until June. Then your drive to maxus will prove that you built a good machine.
