Whelp.... I can speak for me and me only! I was not spraying, no cut-out, and on drag radials. And i STILL had a better 1/4 time than anyone in my class. If it werent for my shifter bracket breaking, I'm 99% sure that i would have won my class and maybe been able to contend with jime and Aaron. And from the looks of it, if i would have brought the 4thgen, i might have won that class too. If ANYONE thinks i cheated in any way, shape or form. I am willing to set-up another track day, and everyones car must be fully inspected b4 running. Who's down?

wouldn't there be pics of this guys car with the hood open considering about 8 trillion pics were probably taken there, or did he keep it close the whole time to "protect the secret" lol

There SHOULDNT be any controversy about JP's car. I just texted him and told him that yall not referring to him.

Either way, this whole soap-opera needs to die. Like NOW. Its too late and nothing can be done about it. If I2 cheated, then he cheated. Everyone is getting all in their feelings about it. Let it go. Unless one of yall gonna drive to his house and lift his hood, drop it. Screw it. Its just a plastic trophy anyway (from what I heard). Maybe you 3.0 guys need to make your cars faster N/A. Im not hating on 3.0's either. I thought about selling my GTP and getting a 4th gen. But if JayPee and Ghostmax can go low 14's with a 3.0 4th gen then maybe the rest of you guys can also.

Lets end this now please.

I must have missed a couple posts or something because I didn't know anyone was accusing JP of cheating?

I agree everyone should just let this thing go though. If the guy had a 3.5L and knowingly ran in the 3.0 class then he knows in his heart that he is lame as hell for that, if he only had a 3.0L then fine, whatever. Pointing fingers doesn't do any good though.

I don't think anyone is doubting your car the person was called out by name

but it would be fun to setup another trackday, cecil maybe

jp just wondering whats up with your bracket breaking I think this is the 2nd or 3rd time I heard about this, it is a weak link in the 5.5 gen drivetrain or is it from powershifting

Naw, i know noone mentioned me, but i was told by another source that all 4 finalist in the 3.5N/A field were thought to have been cheating. I was just clearing my slate, thats all. As far as the bracket goes, it is a weak spot in the 5.5 trannies. This is my 3rd one, and all have broken in the exact same spots. Not to mention 4 people in my area have broken them also.

what did all 4 finalists run, approximately?

some people are naturally just slower, used to slow tracks, etc and can't understand how others run so fast. the thing it comes down to is launching ability, but beyond that very fast shifting and hitting your shift points exactly right, every time. For people who's cars don't run their best times by shifting at the last possible RPM, they need to analyze their shift points. I can't tell you how many cars I've gotten in at the track and run 4-8 tenths faster than the owner of the car has, on my first pass. there's at least 4 maximas I know of that I've done that in.

Yo Jay-pee was cheating! He had a fogger in his intake, I seen it while I was dyno'ing his car but since he's kinda big I didn't say anything at the time.

I broke one also. Yeah, powershifting or shifting really hard will do it. Weak link in the 5.5 gens...

I kinda thought about that. I even suggested taking two pieces of steel plate, drilling 2 holes though the plate and the bracket, and securing it with 2 bolts/screws.

Truth always comes out eventually, and if indeed something was up then i hope it was worth being labeled a scumbag amongst your peers for a small win. On the other hand if he is tellin the truth then he'll deserve an apology from most of us in this thread.

* Although he doesnt deny or confirm anything in his posts which leads to more speculation.

I will say that Chris (i2vicious2) purchased a set of 3.0 timing covers from me that he wanted to have for Maxus. There was a mixup and they didn't get delivered until 6-26 at 1:22pm though. So I think he was planning to have a 3.5 for Maxus. I doubt he could install the covers even if he had the motor in the car or install an engine and be racing the next day.

Hasn't been touched since the winter, unfortunately, due to cash flow problems. This year is a write off for me but my goal is to be back in the game next spring with the 3.5 swap.
