n00b question, where to buy this flange?

This is a dumb question, but where in the world do you buy these y-pipe flanges?

I've looked on eBay and online but the only flanges I'm finding are the exhaust manifold to engine type flange or the exhaust to catalytic converter type flange.

On the turbo y-pipe I built a few years ago I just cut up an old y-pipe I had and took the flanges off of that, but I don't have an extra y-pipe I feel like cutting up this time. Surely you can buy these flanges somewhere

Just a guess. You may have to contact a y pipe fabricator or one of the members that has done it before here.

Okay, so I've been looking again lately for these flanges. I remembered posting this thread and thought I'd come in and bump it

doublea - I never saw your post with the link back when I made this thread. I'd assumed it died kzoosho's post.

Needless to say, the link doesn't work any longer. Do you by any chance remember what product that was? This is all I can find on JC Whitney now

http://www.jcwhitney.com/customizing...wx?filterid=j1

But that's not quite what I need. I need the OEM Nissan type of flange that has the chamfer for the crush-ring.

SURELY you can buy these somewhere. I mean, WSP and Cattman etc. all get these flanges somewhere

I would just make one out of some scrap metal :-/ It would be cool to find a store, esp. for $5/ea, definitely worth the time to buy.

Call up Warpspeed if they're still selling Maxima parts. I bought a few from them a few years ago when I was pondering a turbo setup for my car.
I'd sell them to you for cost, but I can't find my box of exhaust flanges after my last house move. Needed some last month and wound up cutting apart my good exhaust in an emergency.

Bump (edited first post to include current/good photo)

I have still been looking for these off and on occasionally with zero success. I know these are manufactured by some company because WSP sells these new on all their pipes.

Anybody?

Well, if anybody cares, I may have made some progress on this.

A large wholesale catalytic converter/exhaust accessory company has found what they say is an exact fit flange for me.

I'm going on vacation next week but I'll bump this thread again if/when I get the flange in and verify it's indeed what I'm looking for. It appears 4th gens may use this same flange on their y-pipes so if so this would be an option for all you 4th gen guys too.

Hey James92SE, it's been a while since I got in this thread and didn't see your recent post, I can't seem to find the link anymore, I bought a few of those back a couple of years ago, I'll see it I have one left over that I could sell to you. It might take a day or two before I get back to you on this.

Well I do believe I have finally gotten my hands on this mystical flange.

After a week of stall tactic BS from UPS I went to the hub this morning to pick up the shipment.

These are actually an off-the-shelf part from various manufacturers but the measurements for the part have an incorrect measurement which are more than 1/4" off! Theoretically I could have had these years ago if it had occurred to me to take a chance on incorrect measurements from parts catalogs.

I'm at work so I can't test fit it for sure, but everything measures out perfectly. Only question now is the crush ring fitment. I will update for absolute certain tonight when I can test the crush ring and test it on the actual exhaust manifold. Pretty excited I finally found these. Bear River Converters really went the extra mile to help me with this going back and forth between the manufacturer and verify dimensions etc.

I can gladly confirm we have a winner! Fits perfectly onto the exhaust manifold and the factory crush ring fits perfectly

It's part number FX155. I was only able to find a couple listings for it online recently and one of the sites was some sort of auto parts group consortium that requires you to be a member.

Like I said above, I got these with the help of Bear River Converters. They have an eBay store and a normal website at www.bearriverconverters.com. They were $8 each and I bought 6 of them ($48 total shipped for 6) just for potential future use.

*edit* Contacted Bear River back just to tell them thanks for their efforts on this and to tell them it fits perfectly. They stated they will now be carrying this flange in their normal stock inventory so for future reference on anybody needing these you can get them directly from Bear River Converters.

It's a shame this flange has been readily available all this time and I couldn't ever locate it. Oh well. Better late than never

Wait are you asking about the crush ring or the actual flange?

The crush ring you can get almost anywhere. Rock Auto, eBay, Amazon, etc.

Fellas,

Just to confirm, these are both 3rd gen and 4th gen compatible?

BTW, thanks for figuring this out James92SE, I've been sourcing old OEM ypipes and cutting off the flanges...

I don't have any 4th gen stuff to test on but looking at pictures of 4th gen manifolds I'm 99.9% sure these fit 4th gens too. At the very least my pictures above include measurements so one of you guys could measure the 4th gen to verify. It looks like these might even fit the early 5th gens from the look of the diagrams I found for those. Certainly looks like the same style flanges although I guess the measurements could be different.

And the pipe cutout is 2"
