Fronts are 18x8.5.
I dont know the offset, and I am not picking up the wheels till Saturday.
I know of one member who has the 17x8 and he had to use the 5mm spacers:
-Mille Miglia EVO 5 17x8
-235/45 Cooper Zeon ZPT Tires
-H&R 5MM 5:114.3 Wheel Spacers (Front)
-H&R Wheel Studs

That sucks. So do you know if anyone successfully got the J/Q calipers you work with your kit?
How many inches is your rotor from the spokes? I know of a person with 17" EVO5's with the 300zx calipers. He is using 5mm spacers.

I'm waiting for Karim to chime in.
I forget. You are going to have to visit Blemco's website and take a look at his bbk clearance information. Then add 10mm more clearance to his figures.
I keep advising people to look for oem G35/350z wheels. Irish is a wealth of info in that regard.

I'm looking to purchase these wheels: 18x8.5 32mm
http://www.1010tires.com/wheel.asp?w...2D+Hyper+Black
Not quite sure how much $$$ I want to spend though. Ebay has the same brand just in slightly different size: 18x8 with a 38mm offset.
Looking at some of the wheels in this thread, I'm thinking that the 8" wide 38mm offset wheel should clear with slightly room to spare, due to how the spokes go outward and then back in.
I'm thinking it would look like A33's Volk GT-Ns.
But I figure I would ask to see if anybody has any extra info. I am going to be running 13" cobra rotors.

Other various shots above of the wheels.

NO!
I put them on with the Maxima rotors just to test fit. Im actually using the Z32 rotors that have been milled down.

I want to know if I will lose any more clearance by using the Cobra rotors vs. the 2k4 rotors? I am running 18x7.5 Axis SevenMod w/ a 45mm offset. I know I will need at least a 10mm spacer, but I am just curious about the difference. I really like the cobra rotors.

Anyone know the lightest 17s that will clear the cobra/300zx kit are. Looking for some track rims. I have a 5mm spacer so as long as they clear with that. Im figuring 17s because there should be a wider availibility for drag tires.

IMHO. If I were to run a dual duty street/drag car and if I was running the cobra bbk:
I'd run the 16" 300zx na wheels. But I'd also take off the cobra rotors, brackets and rings and run the oem 300zx shaved rotors. All very easy to do and doesn't require a rebleed of the brakes.
If you are going to take off the front wheels anyway, it's only 15 min to swap the rotors and remove the brackets. That would net you even more weight savings and you get to keep the lighter Z calipers.

yea i could do that but i im not going to be taken the racing very serious until later and even then i might just go with 2piece cobra rotors although 2 piece z32 rotors would probally be even lighter. The main reason i want this is just to get some type of slicks on the front.

Here's how I see it.
1) 16" Z32 wheels are cheap and light.
2) 16" drag radials are cheaper than 17" versions?
3) Z32 rotors + milling is pretty cheap.
4) this setup is probably lighter than running the 13" 1pc + 17" wheels.
5) This setup is probably cheaper too.
But this is a tad more work. But it's as easy as this work gets. Literally just a few bolts.

yea i see your point and all but i already had z32 rims and then ill be kicking myself if i gotta get them again. im not going ***** out performance so its just for the couple of times that i might get to the track. Im still just thinking about everything and wanted some opinions on 17s since i know that was the smallest to fit behind what i have now.
And then theres the do it right the first time and get the z32 wheels and rotors because eventually i will be all out performance.

As long as they're the bulged spoke design (pretty sure all 17x8.5J RPF1s are) they should probably be fine.

+45mm offset
I didn't give the offset originally because it seems that it doesn't matter being that the spoke design is the major factor in clearance.

P.S. that's what she said.

I have a question. How much space is needed, like how could i go measure it to see if it would clear. I have 17x8 OZ Superleggera +45. From the face of the rotor to my spoke its about 2.25"
how much room is needed for the Z32 calipers to clear?
thanks

Easy!
Measure 5 1/4" out from the center of the wheel to one of your spokes. Now, from that point, measure the distance from the surface of your stock rotors to the inside of your spoke. If you have at least 2 1/2" of clearance here, then you should be fine with the kit.

A lot of people keep asking what offset this, that, etc...
Spoke design has a lot to do with it as well, you can have an 8 inch, low offset wheel not clear because of spoke design...
